The University of Miami Health System has begun construction for a state of the art 200,000-square-foot ambulatory center on the University’s Coral Gables campus that will provide easy access to UHealth’s leading physicians for students, faculty, staff and surrounding communities.

Partnering with OHL-Arellano and Newcomb & Boyd, Tropic Mechanical was involved in the planning phases throughout this design build process. Initially beginning work in 2009 on the project planning, Tropic’s work was essential in maintaining the project within budget and providing a solution that meets the University’s expanding and changing needs.

The project consisted of the 200,000 SF Clinic, along with the heart of the mechanical system, a standalone Chiller Plant that is 3,000 tons fully built out.
